We often receive proposals for help. Thank you so much: indeed, we do need help! 

Although we feel a bit uncomfortable about getting help without giving anything in return. So we hope that the shop's primary goal — to raise funds to support DGI programs of public outreach and exploration of David Graeber's legacy, we want to offer something of value and fun in return. 

Rather than a mere souvenir stand, we look forward to our store becoming a place to collect fine art (yes, that’s right: printable art—posters and stickers, records and books that are carefully selected can become truly priceless collections!). Furthermore, by arrangement with publishers and distributors, we intend to sell selected books by David Graeber and other authors close to us.

We are working with our artist-designer friends to create a series of beautiful works of art!

Anything of interest (for which we are able to obtain rights through agreements with the authors) we intend to make available for free that people can download with the files being directly uploaded to our store. , 

Our intention is to be completely transparent in our pricing and logistics, because even though we would like to use some of the revenue for the costs of running the institute, our store will host products and projects that we feel are important for everyone, and we want them to be spread all over the world.

The DGI store is first and foremost a place where we collect things that we think are truly important, which can help reproduce and protect human life. And, yes, that includes books and art, because there has to be a reason for wanting our efforts to succeed. Right? 

But back to the practical issues: 

What if you find yourself trapped in a heat wave, or what if you have some urgent medical need (say, for an allergy shot or even for very simple but often unavailable water purifying tablets?). 

It happens that a lot of these things are very cheap and available, but for some reason are not on hand when they are needed. Maybe you live in a country where they are not available or perhaps you already have all of these things and would like to make them available to help someone else? 

In other words, we are trying to create a really fun and helpful project that will grow in significance beyond the usual gift store.
